Cheat Vegan Cheese Turnovers
How to make super quick and easy vegan cheese turnovers
If you are looking for a super quick and easy appetizer for your party, my cheat vegan cheese turnovers are perfect for you. Why cheat? Because I'm using a dumpling mould to create easy pockets filled with delicious vegan cheese and chives. You can then season them with salt and pepper or some dried herbs if you prefer.
We love making vegan cheese turnovers because they are sometimes a lazy solution for a quick snack or even a quick breakfast. Thanks to the small dumpling mould, they are bite-sized also, which means fewer crumbs. During a party, when everyone walks around, having fewer crumbs on the floor really matters.

If you too decide to do them the quick and easy way, then I most certainly recommend that you invest in a dumpling mound. You can get a cheap plastic one, they don't have to be fancy. Using the bottom of the dumpling mould, divide the pastry into several circles.
Then put the puff pastry circle on your dumpling mould and fill with a tbsp of vegan cheese and 1/2 tsp of chopped chives. Press the mould together so you can get a beautiful and easy shaped vegan turnover.
Please the vegan turnover on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Repeat the above steps for the remaining puff pastry circles.
When ready, brush your vegan turnovers with a little olive oil and season with salt and peppercorn. You can sprinkle some dried herbs also if you want.
Bake in the centre of the oven for about 10-15 minutes until the puffs pastry becomes golden and crisp.
These are bite-sized vegan cheese turnovers made in just a few minutes. We always make them before a party so people have something to munch on throughout the evening. You can also make puff pastry appetizers also and you can serve them with vegan spread and delicious hummus.
For summer parties, we also make vegan sausages, carrot mango salad, mango habanero salad and have a side of potato salad on the table.
